CMT 10013 MYSTICAE MYSTICAE, il CD che oggi vi proponiamo, contiene la colonna sonora originale composta dal  Maestro Ennio Morricone per la serie televisiva di otto puntate L’UOMO E LA MAGIA prodotta  dalla RAI. MYSTICAE fu anche il primo LP pubblicato con etichetta Cometa (CEM - CMT 1). Nel  1972, il regista Sergio Giordani, che aveva iniziato fin dal 1963 la sua collaborazione con la RAI  e che nutriva un grande interesse per i documentari/inchiesta, propose e realizzò una serie di  otto puntate dal titolo L’UOMO E LA MAGIA. All'epoca questo argomento, molto interessante ed  estremamente impegnativo, offre al regista l'opportunità  di cimentarsi nella realizzazione del  tema in otto puntate. Questo soggetto, veramente particolare, trattava un argomento molto  delicato, interessante e affascinante allo stesso tempo: la magia e la superstizione rapportate  alla vita dell'uomo, un argomento che aveva avuto sin dalla notte dei tempi il potere di dominare  la mente dell'umanità . L'edizione della colonna sonora di questa serie televisiva, fu affidata alla  Cometa Edizioni Musicali. Ivana Mattei, che da oltre 40 anni è la titolare della Cometa, ricorda:  <> I brani che il Maestro compose per questo lavoro, furono registrati nel Forum Studio di  Roma, il cui ingegnere del suono, era l'impareggiabile Sergio Marcotulli. Neanche a dirlo, la  colonna sonora e la serie delle otto puntate L'UOMO E LA MAGIA furono un vero successo e  fecero ottenere al regista Sergio Giordani il premio internazionale ONDAS. Fu una vera e  propria: MAGIA!   MYSTICAE, the CD we are proposing today, contains the Original TV Soundtrack composed by  Ennio Morricone for the RAI series, L’UOMO E LA MAGIA (MAN AND MAGIC). Mysticae was  also the first LP published by Cometa (label code: CEM CMT 1) Movie director Sergio Giordana  started to work for RAI (Italian State TV) in 1963, and since then he showed his talents for  investigation documentaries. In 1972 he proposed and carried out for RAI a mini series titled  L’UOMO E LA MAGIA (Man and Magic). Having the opportunity to develop the series in eight  episodes, and that joint to the fact of the great interest of the general public for the topic it was  very challenging for Giordana. Since ever the Magic and Superstition influence human behavior  is something extremely interesting and fascinating at the same time, and it always had the  power to capture the mind and heart of mankind. Cometa Edizioni Musicali was in charge of  editing the music soundtrack of this TV series. Ivana Mattei, who after more than 40 years is still  the owner and CEO of Cometa Edizioni Musicali, recalls to mind: The soundtrack composed for  L’UOMO E LA MAGIA (Man and Magic) by Ennio Morricone was recorded in the Forum Studio  in Rome, where the brilliant Sergio Marcotulli was the sound engineer. Needless to say,  L’UOMO E LA MAGIA series and its soundtrack had a great success, and made director Sergio  Giordani to win the international award ONDAS.
